Boldog karácsonyt! / Merry Christmas!

So these are my gift card holders for this year. The last one is just an embellishment but I got the ingredients from the ubersweet Virginia. :) Sadly, after having done it I forgot it at D's place though I was planning to give it to its receiver (sshhh....secret) this morning. Silly me. :-/

To my brother (because he has never enough sporting goods)

To my best friend and her husband (IKEA gift card for their new home)

To Dad from Mom (concert tix)

To ...ssshh...

Supplies: Neenah Desert Storm / Solar White cardstock, ??? patterned paper, Echo Park Sweet Day / Dots & Stripes papers, Hero Arts & Basic Grey Konnichiwa stamp set, IKEA wrapping papper, gold satin ribbon with snowflakes, Uniball gel pen gold, die cut circle (from V), SRM stickers (from V), little heart punch, red Ranger Stickles, red card stock, gold lame cord, Hero Arts Midtone inks, CART-us snowflake stamp

Mini Ticket Holder - Sneak Peak

Just a little sneak peak for those who are interested. Sorry for the bad quality. These are holding 2 really small concert tickets for my dad from my mom. :-) I still have to make 2 gift card holders and a little box, so I'll be back when I'm all done and post a better picture of them.

Baubles

I was so waiting for the right time to share these cards because I'm absolutely in love with them! I made these for mailing to my friends whom I cannot meet around the holidays this year. I clear embossed the background and I really loved that it got so sparkly! Very christmassy. :) The ornaments belong to the same big stamp from HA, I just coloured them with Copics and cut them apart. I'm planning to do a second series of them because I definitely need some more. lol

I'm entering these cards into the following challenges:
Addicted To CAS #2 - Bauble
Simon Says - ANYTHING GOES

---

Anything Goes

I made this card from my latest order from Pippi.
It was easy-peasy to assemble it with EP's Sweet Day papers and Prima's Frost Flowers. There are also some flowers with snowflakes on them in the package, they are SO gorgeous. I just couldn't decide where to use them yet. :) Also this was the first time I used a doily on a card. Actually, I ordered 3 of them and I didn't know they were THAT large. LOL But it turned out well in the end.

---

I'm entering this card into Simon Says Stamp's Anything Goes challenge.

Winter Blue II

The sentiment was made with D's pretty old-school Dymo. I so wanted to have one as a child. :) The snowflakes were stamped with the same ink multiple times. Really easy and flat card, just perfect for mailing.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges again:
ATCAS#1 - Codeword: Snow

---

A feliratot ezúttal D apukájának régi Dymojával nyomkodtam (tudjátok, amivel régen a postaláda-feliratokat készítették :D hogy vágytam egy ilyenre!), a háttér pedig ugyanazzal a nyomdapárnával készült, többször rányomva a hópelyheket.

(The sentiment is straight. The photo is not. :))

Opening Draw at Scrap i Pebre

Over at Scrapi Pebre you can win this set of paper yummies till 6th Dec. You just have to follow her blog, write a comment with your email and blog address and post this picture on your blog with a link to her site.

The reason for the drawing is that she's just opened her own store! She's a really nice person and I'm really glad for her. :) Take your chance and pay a visit to her!

Gyerekkor

Befejeztem hát ezt a könyvet épp néhány másodperccel azelőtt, hogy beértünk volna a Délibe vasárnap. Jó sokáig tartott. Az év nagy részében ezt olvastam. Nem akartam, hogy vége legyen. A végén aztán valahogy mégis akartam.

540 oldal. Utóbbi egyébként megjelent azóta magyarul is „Az úszó” címmel. Asszem VM igazi versenytársra talált a szívem könyvespolcán. :)

Úgy látszik, szeretem hasonlítgatni a nekem tetsző könyveket. (Fry-nál pl. a magyar-angol kötet fordítását hasonlítgattam legutóbb.)

I tried to use some canvas on my card base for the first time. I may not sprinkle any water on it next time because I'm not sure about the darker shades. :-)

For the exact measurement with the birds and the banner I finally used my Fiskars stamp press and just love it. I hope you can see the crystal Stickles dots – they were intended to mimic the magic of snowfalls and are more sparkly than in this photo – believe me. :)

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
CFC79 - Winter Blues (you still have plenty of time to enter, this time it lasts for 2 weeks!)

***

So Torn

First I just wanted a matching pattern paper with my washi tapes for the ornaments. And there was this chevron piece. Then I remembered I pre-made some snowflakes with my flower punch and some stickles for better days. Then I figured this card reminded me of a winter window: the chevron pattern is the curtain, so let's put some snow underneath the snowflakes – a torn piece of cardstock with some stickles again. The strings are embossed but I still have to practice the perfect use of embossing pens. :)

I'd like to enter this card into the current CAS-Friday challenge: So Torn.
Thanks for popping in!

Twin Baby Boys

This is my 2nd post today, please scroll down for my shaped card. :)
I was asked by D's sister-in-law to make 2 baby cards for her friends (my first ever order:). I'll show you one of them now, the more tricky one for me. :) First it had to be a masculine card and not only for one baby boy but two! Fortunately, she told me a bit about her friend so I knew I had to work with warmer tones (which I like better too). But somehow the card had to express that it was about twins and I wasn't allowed to write anything on it! I don't have any baby-related stamps but then I remembered I bought some wooden teddy bears for occasions like this half a year ago. Heehee I wanted to put a ribbon on it to 'balance' the card but since it's a masculine card I didn't make a bow. Just glued one end in the inside, the other end on the card and cut a V-shape into it. Hmm, something's missing. Of course, a button! And still I wanted to make an itty-bitty bow on it. LOL But I think it didn't ruin the masculinity of the card at all. :)

I'd like to enter this card into the CAS-Friday - CFC77 and the Lawnscaping - Dust 'Em Off challenge.

Get In Shape

This is a really simple card but I just had to try my new fun Konnichiwa stamps from HA & BG. :)
Originally, I wanted to use shadow inks for that but they haven't arrived at the time, so I used a Memento ink (I love that the trunk isn't perfect!) and a red pigment ink. Fortunately, now the new shadow inks are waiting for me at my parents' and I'm picking them up this weekend. Can't wait to try them.

I'd like to enter this card into the SSS - Get In Shape challenge.

Strawberry Favor Box / Eperke doboz

I found the idea at Pippi's but you can download the original template from Firefly Design. Sadly, I don't have any green ribbon at my parents' and the hole in the leaf is not exactly where it should be but it's such a sweet idea if you need just a small box for some candies or something like that.

---

Update: In the meanwhile I got featured on Pippi's FB page. Yay!

Welcome Baby

This card had a pink base when I first made it this spring. Then it turned out the baby is a boy! lol So I changed the base to a green one. Also the patterned paper has more boyish colours now. :)

Szitakötő

Sorry folks, this post is only in Hungarian. Please scroll down for my latest card-related post. Thx!

Hope you like it!

A Forgotten Kick Start Homework

I forgot to post this card earlier. Yet it is my favourite card currently. I love the colours and elements  (aqua washi tape and button, I love you!) and that it is so small (like me, hee hee). The main inspiration was the embossed flower cut into parts from Sue McRae's card. I loved her white embossed pattern on the distress inked (?) background but I don't have any distress inks or markers so I decided to use a faded red patterned paper.
(The card is straight but in the photo it seems not to be. lol)

I sooo wanted to share this card, even though I didn't find any suitable challenges for it this time. :)
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Kick Start Homework – Day 7-8

The idea of this homework was to find yourself a challenge, like a time challenge, a colour challenge, a limited supply challenge or an online challenge. Well, this was a 2 in 1 challenge for me. I love this new stamp but at first I had no idea how to go on with it. Then I checked what the current challenge on CAS-Friday is and it turned out be an autumn-themed one. As I don't have any autumn-coloured cardstock I remembered what Kristina Werner in of her videos the other day did: she used her Copics to create the borders she needed. So I did the same. Well, as I said my Copic Ciao markers are brand-new so I'm still exploring their use. I also remembered what Joy Taylor and Debby Hughes sometimes does and I coloured some rhinestones with my markers to match the borders. I'm not sure about this card yet, but I think I like it. I'm gonna write a sentiment with a white gel pen under the flowers as soon as I know who will get it. :)

Kick Start Homework – Day 5-6

Well, I'm always smart shopping in online stores as a lot of stuff is too expensive or unreachable for me from here - so with that Homework Day 5-6 is done by me. I guess I'll just link up here a new card of mine in the evening. lol But I'll be back with Day 7-8's soon enough too. I love challenges! Now I'm off finding a cool one for this homework.

Update:
So here's the card for Day 5-6 and it represents how I shop smartly. The Magical Background stamp was love at first sight - I knew I wanted it on one of my Xmas cards and that it so versatile, I'm sure I'll use it a lot. It is embossed as a frame on the card but we had a lot of trouble to take a photo of it.

By the way, sorry for my colouring this was the first time ever I used my new Copic Ciao markers. I chose only the basic colours of Ciao because Copics are rather expensive for me. This card is flat because this is the prototype of those Christmas cards that I'll send via mail.

Kick Start Homework – Day 3-4

This is my second homework for the Kick Start class. I have to be quick now, because I'm posting this from work and in the evening we're going to an outdoor concert where I'll freeze to death. lol So the 2nd lesson gave me the idea basically, to turn to my old scraps or elements that I put away for better days. :) I stamped and water-coloured this platypus some months ago when my Lawn Fawn Down Under set arrived including this funny creature. After doing it I didn't have any clue how to finish it so I put it away. But I was sure I wanted use it some day! Then, also because of the class, I started to digging through my little stash for elements I haven't used or have long forgotten about. And found these wooden clips I wanted to use so much! I love how this simple birthday card turned out to be. It is for my best friend's birthday and says 'In a couple of years...' and goes on inside like 'you'll look like this creature!' Lol I'm pretty sure she'll love it and can't wait to see her face when she gets it.

Unfortunately, I only have a craft corner and a very little stash so I cannot post an organizational pic here about my craft room/shelves/cupboards (yet) but I'm loving all the ideas for future reference at the class.

Kick Start Homework / Day 1-2

This is my first homework for the new online card class called Kick Start and also the base card for one of the cards I will mass produce. First I saw these Christmas brads from Artemio at my local store. I did not know what to do with them at the time but this was the last package so I bought them because I wanted to use them definitely. Then I saw the challenge at SSS and it all clicked together: I love my hexagon stamp from PaperSmooches and it would be fun to put some brads on it. I also bought some Christmas washi tapes and ribbons with the brads so I can change and vary their colours for each card I will send to our families.

On the first lesson I learned a great idea from Kristina. From now on I will always jot down my ideas about elements that comes to my mind because I just realized I keep forgetting about a lot of them. It would have been a shame to forget about this one for example. I created a folder for color block inspirations and took out a notebook for element ideas that I am now expanding with a supply list. No matter how small mine yet is. :)

With that being said I am also entering this card into the SSS challenge We're so TRENDY.

PS: Till now I thought making Xmas cards in September was ridiculous. Then I counted how many I would have to make. TONS! So it is not a bad idea at all...

Put A Stamp On It 2

This is my second card for the SSS Put A Stamp On It challenge. :) I've been away too long from my craft desk, now I'm creating tons of cards! lol I just wish my next order arrived...
Anyway, this is my current fave card, I hope you like it too!

Put A Stamp On It

I did the long-long blog hop. And now I'd like to enter this card into the SSS Put a Stamp On It challenge.
I made it for my boyfriend's birthday. The koala and the eucaliptus tree have a very special meaning to us. ;-) I ordered this Lawn Fawn set just for this! lol He loved it and I hope you like it too!

Anything Goes 2

The other card for the SSS Anything Goes challenge is an experiment of the new trend: coloring with watercolors on white embossing. Well, it was quite tricky for me and I wouldn't say this is my best looking card yet. But since 'anything goes' I'd still show it here.

Thanks for stopping by!

Anything Goes

I'd like to enter this card into the SSS Anything Goes challenge. This and the following card are both my first attempts in trying different techniques. The flip card goes to my D's grandma who turns 86 in 2 weeks. It isn't quite finished yet though because I'm planning to add a circle shaped photo of the two of us onto the inner side of the circle. Oh, and I made this flip card without any die cutting machine I used only my ruler and my brand new circle cutter that D brought me from Holland in August. :)

Slowly but surely

I've created 3-4 cards last week, I just haven't had the time to post them. Hopefully, my next package arrives this week and then I can begin to think about Xmas cards mass production. :-)

Back to Business

--

I'm back from my holidays in Croatia and will be back to card making soon, too (in a week or so). In fact, I've made a card for my boyfriend's birthday this week but he had so much to do before he left for Gamescom in Cologne that I didn't want to bother him about the photo.

I cannot wait though to take part in challenges again. :) In the meantime, I'm trying to figure out what  in my next package from Simon's should be. Lol And what to see in Prague in September on our mini holiday, including a long-awaited Coldplay show. :)

My latest birthday card featuring my first ever handmade flower, some EP paper, some 3D foams, some other papers, a white gel pen, some Cyan ColorBox pigment ink and Dawny's sketch for the latest Simon Says Stamp challenge.

And now off I go to our friend's gig tonight. :) Take care and thanks for stopping by!

Let's Get Fruity!

As I don't have any fruity stuff in my stash yet, I came up with one of the most simple fruits of all: a cherry. :) I took my smaller circle punch, some Happy Days paper and two stripes + a double leaf of green cardstock - and voilá, there's my fruit. The background paper is also from Echo Park's Happy Days pad, it's kinda picnic-themed for me, which leads back to summer, which leads to the lemon twine from We R Memory Keepers. The sentiment says 'Happy Nameday' (again). Harolds abc from Lawn Fawn is one of the best purchases I've made so far. I used it with the Evergreen pigment ink from ColorBox.

I'd like to enter this card in to the following challenges:

Text me

I'm very proud of this card because the combination of the unique flower shape and this paper was a sudden  idea of mine a few days ago. It's very simple but in this heat....I don't even feel that it needs a sentiment at the moment. The flower says it all - Kinga, this one's for you. :)

However, the sentiment could be done on the right side of the card if I'd want to.

Round and Round + Dimension part 2

I had plans for this card for a long time. Actually, since we got to know that one of our friends is expecting twins in August after so many years of waiting for a baby. :) As you can see on my card I don't have a circle cutter - YET! I'm planning to buy a Martha Stewart Simple Circle Cutter. I love creating circle shaped cards and embellishments. I still like that those circles are not perfect, anyhow, it's handmade. ;) I hope our friends will like it as much as I enjoyed creating it while thinking on their double miracle.

I'd like to enter this card into CFC59: Use 2 circles in your Clean And Simple design

Dimension - part 1

I'm planning to make another card this week with dimensional adhesive, so this is part one. I had a bit of bad luck with this card but I ended up liking it. I wanted to make a flower from the green hearts and I didn't like it. Then I found those 2 golden hearts and there came this simple idea. Also, this was the first time I used my versamark pen...and I learned that next time I should use the thinner end of it for handwriting. LOL

I'm planning to give this card to my little niece for her nameday this weekend.

I'd like to enter this card into Lawnscaping Challenge #37: USE DIMENSION.

Bring on the summer!

A főtér gyönyörű!

Nemsokára Brüsszelben / Pretty soon in Brussels

Mégis repülök idén is, mégis megyek Nyugat-Európába is.

Only 4 days to go till our quick visit in Brussels.
Thanks God, D has been there multiple times so we might manage to visit all the important things in so little time. I didn"t expect flying this year to Western-Europe at all.
And there's only a little more than one month to go till our holiday in Croatia, too. Needless to say, I've set Supetar on my phone's weather forecast app months ago. :)

Summertime

As usual, thanks for the great photo to D

At last I got my package with some new fun stuff in it yesterday and I wanted to try out everything! LOL I'm gonna make some more cards this weekend.

So this card is for my best friend who I meet this afternoon. She lives in another town and is really busy this month (she's an MD). The sentiments goes something like 'It's summer, it is...' and it's a line from a famous choir song, which we used to sing at school together. :) I thought she was in need for some flower power this month. The numbers symbolize the months of summer. The lemon baker twine is for lemonade or lemon flavoured ice cream – whichever you like. ;-) The stamped flower was made with memento dye ink and faber castell aquacoloring pencils + some glossy shine on the pink stripes. :)
I also stamped a cute butterfly inside the card because that is how the song goes on... (a butterfly flying on a flower.

I was really inspired by Joy's photo for this week at Simon's, so there was no question that I'd enter this card into this challenge.

I'm also entering this card into the Flower Power challenge of Truly Scrumptious.

Patterned Paper

This card was inspired by one of Kristina's older birthday cards originally. Well, I think I still managed to personalize mine a bit. :) I made this one for my mom's birthday (told you before: we have a LOT of bdays in summer), which is only in July but these EP Candy Shoppe papers are just so yummy, I have to use them again and again!
The best part of this card is the sentiment. It was made with my BF's dad's old alphabet stamps what they used to stamp sentiments in Christmas cards with. :)

I still have to work on my colouring technique though.

Hope my mom will love it.

I'm also entering this card into Lawnscaping's Patterned Paper challenge.

Twine!

A quick post finally. :-) Lightnings and rain outside, E3 2012 live stream inside (my BF owns a gamer magazine). Now they're on a break so I popped in to post my card for last week's Simon Says Stamp challenge and Lawnscaping's new Patterned Paper Challenge. See the inspirational photo in my next post.
I wanted to make a really shiney and happy card for my not so little bro's birthday, because that's just what he's like. Lawn Fawn's papers from Simon's May cardkit were just perfect for this. I didn't put any more embellishments on it, only a tiny dot of glitter on the cupcake, which he won't even recognize LOL and some twine.

In The Meanwhile

I've made two new cards, both birthday ones but those have to be taken a photo of yet. :)
With those two I have the five cards needed for my part of family for summer, then I guess I'll finish my other baby card for our friends and begin to plan new ones for D (something bigger, but shhh) and his family. lol
Uh, and I'll also have to make two nameday cards for my parents yet...

Clean and Simple Birthday

Thanks to D for the great photo

I got my first Echo Park Dots and Stripes 6 x 6 Pad and I wanted to use it so much! As I said we have like 5 birthdays coming up only in my family in July (and I have not counted D's family), so I just never can have enough birthday cards. :) Not that I'm complaining or anything, that way I can just rush into my craftroom without any questions. LOL

I have entered this card into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly: In The Garden
Kaboodle Doodles: CAS
The Pink Elephant: Polka Dots & Stripes
