In The Meanwhile

I've made two new cards, both birthday ones but those have to be taken a photo of yet. :)
With those two I have the five cards needed for my part of family for summer, then I guess I'll finish my other baby card for our friends and begin to plan new ones for D (something bigger, but shhh) and his family. lol
Uh, and I'll also have to make two nameday cards for my parents yet...

Clean and Simple Birthday

Thanks to D for the great photo

I got my first Echo Park Dots and Stripes 6 x 6 Pad and I wanted to use it so much! As I said we have like 5 birthdays coming up only in my family in July (and I have not counted D's family), so I just never can have enough birthday cards. :) Not that I'm complaining or anything, that way I can just rush into my craftroom without any questions. LOL

I have entered this card into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly: In The Garden
Kaboodle Doodles: CAS
The Pink Elephant: Polka Dots & Stripes

Thanks for stopping by!

Love Birds

Thanks to D for the great photo

Just a quick note as I'm totally tired. This is my first try on white embossing, so please forgive me for the quality. I also know that it is not the best to do it on textured cardstock. But I just love this colour and the birds so much! Anyway, this one is a congratulations card for my best friend's and her hubby's first own home. The idea with the birds came just a few days before the CAS - Feathered Friends challenge was announced. :) The nest was made with a dotted swirl stamp, used multiple times.

Birthday Card + Simon Says Stamp Challenge

This is my first entry to a Simon Says Stamp Challenge and right for their 3rd Bday Challenge! Update: And also for the CAS-Friday bday challenge. Yay! To my fellow papercrafters: you can win a $50 voucher OR one of the three (!!!) Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month May. The CAS challenge is also full of Simon's gifts! :)

I really love this card because it has more different embellishments than I usually use, yet it stayed simple. By the way, "Boldog szülinapot" means "Happy Birthday". It's in Hungarian. :)

Thanks for the great photo of my card to D.

First, it was the Bo Bunny patterned paper with dots that I fell in love with. Then the butterfly from the same collection (though I used a circle punch so that it could leave its different coloured friends). I found one single, really cute button in matching colour and decided to put them on a tag . Also, I wanted to create a card with a tag at last. I've used the clear chevron paper (from Simon's April Card Kit) for a previous window card and wanted to use it for something else, also the area below the butterfly felt really empty. So there was the solution. :) I chose small and big letters to harmonize with the dots...but first had no idea how to finish the word "boldog" (happy) as the original creme-coloured G got lost on the waves. So I went through my yet little papercraft stash and found a pinkish G made of foam that'd fit there perfectly. :) And voilà!

Thanks for stopping by.
