Warm

This was something experimental. Sticker on cardstock decorated with white gel pen, glossy accent, Xmas red stickles and white acrylic paint.

I'll be back tomorrow with my favourite card for this year. :-)

Inspired By

Thanks for the inspiration to Case Study 167!
The colours of this photo are somewhat misleading... e.g. the flower below is embossed in gold, though somehow it looks brown but the other colours are just fine. hehe Oh, and I love this paper (it's from Basic Grey, the whole pad is just so cool).

Thanks for looking!

Owly Christmas

This was an attempt to try my snow paste on a card. Lesson learned: you have to use it on a thicker cardstock (here it's on Neenah Desert Storm).

In other news I got enrolled into my first ever scrapbook workshop. But only because it's about mixed media techniques and mainly because it's about a......WEDDING ALBUM!

Yeah, else I'd never made it to scrapbooking and I'm still not sure about it but I'll give it a go soon. Pretty excited and hope to find the time to finish it before the big day, which is btw 22 Feb if everything goes smoothly. We have the restaurant, my dress, the rings, from next week it'll be about the details.

Enamel Dots and Watercolor Paper Card

This is another use of my coool enamel dots... Yeah, I'm way behind the trends but I don't care.
Btw I love watercolor paper. Its texture is just mesmerizing, don't you think?

Banners Birthday Card

I could use my cute enamel dots finally. The sentiment part was quite hard to come up with.

Another Simple (Or Not?) Christmas Card

On our summer holiday in Maastricht I managed to get my hands on some white StazOn ink and now I finally found the time to use it what I'd bought it for. The result: me likey. :-)

Challenge: SSS - Christmas / Happy Holiday

Simple Christmas

Feels too early at shops but not in cardmaking: Christmas. This is one of the first attempts from me for this year.

Simple Gifts For The Little Ones

Made these for my fiancé's niece and nephew for their birthday a couple of weeks ago. I tried to make them look like their family because I read children liked playing the everyday life of their families ...but I'm not that good at drawing. :) And they are really simple. Anyway, I hope they like playing with them.

September...Are We Just Starting Again?

Now that I've a had a minor (but painful) surgery on my big toe that'll recover completely  in three (!) months, September is really like in one of my fave U2 song, Please:

September
Streets capsizing
Spilling over
Down the drain
Shards of glass splinters like rain
But you could only feel
Your own pain

And yes, I'm still behind with my calendar a bit... but I know our official engagement dinner with our parents is closer because our wedding rings are ready and we got to take them next Tuesday!  :)

The Sweetest Thing ... and one of the most important questions in my life!

I've bought recently 5 sets of Paper Smooches that I've been eyeing with for so long. Even before ordering them I knew I wanted to make a great male card with this stamp for my boyfriend's upcoming birthday.

The big day was on Saturday. I gave this to him in the morning then we went to the market to buy some fruits for his cake. I then made the cake, we ate it for lunch (yes, you read it right, it was his wish!), then he told me that he'd take me somewhere that he wouldn't tell me about... I was curious, it was his birthday where could we go?

Well, he took me to the theme park in Budapest. They're going to close it down in September and I've never been to it before! I got all excited! Then came something more serious... After trying things like the old roller coaster (google it you won't regret) he took me to the ferris wheel. It was reeeeeallly slow. Then pulled out a little box from his pocket with a small leporello-like card (made by him). To put it in a nutshell and keep a few details to ourselves (;-)) HE POPPED THE QUESTION! With no escape... I said YES!

I couldn't be happier!

More and More PS Stamps

I made this card as soon as I got my hands on these stamps at my parent's (I send my orders to them because it's safer but they live 70 km from me). It's for my mum's nameday.

Her name means violet (the flower) so I also made a pun about it inside, like there's no violet on here but there's no one even like you! :)

Thanks for popping by!

Using a Studio Calico paper pad and a Scrapfellow button (says 'Every day is good'). Lately I'm in love with these soft colors. Oh and feathers. I really do need to get my hands on some feather stamps.

Supersecret Card

It's so secret that I'll even hide it after the CAS-Friday Polkadot challenge for this week has expired. :-)

Update: everything's been hidden. Thanks for your nice comments.

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Summer Fruits and a Sunflower

Tried to to something summery for my mum's birthday in July. I have a bag of fruit chipboards from Scrapfellow and I found some ideas on their blog on how to use them in different ways. I love that their shiny, I think it gives them an additional dimension. :-) Also, I bought the little sunflower ages ago, I knew I wanted to put it on mum's card, so there it goes.

Long Time No Sea

It's been a while since I've posted my last card. We've translated a horror game (yes, you read it right) and I'm attending a course in Rock History at coursera, plus I've enrolled into a Spanish course that'll begin next week. Busy and exciting times. :)
In the meanwhile, it also turned into hot summer. Also it's the beginning of our ritual family birthday celebrations. :)) This goes to my not-so-little bro, I hope he won't peek it here.

Actually, he's a motorboat racer but his nickname is something like 'Raftsman'. :-) So I thought this sailboat would be appropriate. Also he's turned 22 on Tuesday. The orange candydots refer to bouys. :-)

And this is the fun part. We like making fun of each other, so I had to put in there something funny.

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:

I'm hoping here to go somewhere near a beach soon, 'cause it's getting quite hot here!

Have a nice weekend!

All Kinds of Vehicles

This time a friend of mine asked me to make a card for their English friend. She said they both love planes and also that her friend loved the boat ride when he visited them last time in Hungary. So I included both. Then it turned out that her friend also loves riding the bicycle in the woods. And so I put also a bicycle on it. :-) I truly hoped it wouldn't turn out he loved garbage trucks, too. ;-)

I've been planing to use chipboard vehicles on cards for a long time so this was the perfect occasion for it. I also ordered some fruit chipboards and I've already made a small greeting card with strawberries for my family while I was dog-sitting at my parents' house for a weekend. I didn't have a camera on hand, but maybe I'll share it here some time.

I'd like to enter this card into the latest SSS challenge: Things with wings and IN[K]SPIRE_me Challenge #95.

PS: I seem to be obsessed with that mint washi tape but I just love it! Perfect colour.

As always, thanks for stopping by!!

Suppies: Neenah Desert Storm and Solar White cardstock, Memento Tuxedo black and Cocoa inks, Scrapfellow chipboards, Echo Park 6x6 pad, mint washi tape, green-white baker's twine from the Twinery

OCC Homework Day 4 - Part 2

I'll keep this post short as I have to run now. This is the 'Her' part of my homework for Day 4 at OCC, aka my Mother's Day card. I kept the sketch of my masculine card, but put more embellishments on it. Hope my mom will like it tomorrow!

Thanks for your nice comments so far, I'll try to wander around a bit later too and check you guys out with your homework! ;)

Challenges:
In(k)spire Me - Muttertag
bastel-traum.ch - Muttertag/Vatertag

Supplies: Bazzil Butter mint cardstock, yellow and white striped washi, mint washi, Versamark ink, Ranger Queen Gold embossing powder, HA & BG Konnichiwa stamp set, Prima flowers, Basic Grey Sweet Pea alphabet collection, Christmas red Stickles, small heart punch

OCC Homework Day 4 - Part 1

This is my masculine card for Day 4 - but not a Father's Day card as we don't celebrate it here. This time I kept the sketch for both cards, so I'll be back with my Mother's Day card in the next post.

Keeping those straws in place wasn't that easy! So it is kind of an experimental card too.

Supplies: Neenah Desert Stormand Solar White cardstock, mint and white straws, Uniball white gel pen, HA Cup o' Joe mid tone ink, SSS Music to my ears stamp set, little star punch, yellow Copic

Thanks again for stopping by! :)

OCC Homework Day 2 - Part 2

Well, a bit later than I promised but here's the male version of this card. I kept the colours and tried Jennifer's technique from Day 2 with a moustach stamp from Lawn Fawn.

Straight lines, minimal design, simple typewrite fonts.

I'll skip the homework for Day 3 as we don't really use Sympathy cards in Hungary but rather plain and simple black and white telegrams when needed. So it'd be rather strange for me to make a sympathy card and I couldn't really use them.
But I'll be back with my homework for Day 4! Stay tuned!

Supplies: Neenah Desert Storm cardstock, mint washi tape, Uniball white gel pen, white embossing powder, Lawn Fawn Happy Father's Day stamp set, HA mid tone inks (tide pool, butter bar), VersaCraft white pigment ink, Versamark ink

OCC Homework Day 2

Believe it or not, this is for a girl. See the golden embossed flowers behind the bike? My good friend from Switzerland loves motorbikes, in fact she has a rather huge Töff (as they say in Schwitzer Dütsch) and she loves riding it in the mountains.

I chose to you use the same or similar colours for my 'His' card for this OCC homework. So expect another card some time in the evening (nearly done, only needs a sentiment:).

Challenge: Paper Smooches - Anything Goes

Supplies: Neenah Desert storm and Solar white cardstocks, Ranger Queen gold embossing powder, Versamark ink, Pebbles blue candy dots, mint green washi tape, chipboard bike, Paper Smooches Alpha-dot set, HA & BG Konnichiwa stamp set

OCC Homework Day 1

While my masculine card for Day 2 is still in the works, here's how I interpreted the homework for Day 1 at the Online Card Class His & Hers. I made this for my Granny for Mother's Day (coming up this Sunday in Hungary), so I made it simple and elegant.

Supplies: Neenah solar white and desert storm cardstock, black Copic Ciao marker, HA pale tomato shadow ink, HA flower stamp, Typoface rub-on letters

Something Elegant

RIC's inspiration photo for this week made me want to create something that symbolizes soft shapes and  is  an elegant dress-like.

So I created a nice "dress" for a bottle of wine and paired it with a glassine bag filled with bonbons as its attendant. LOL

In the end I made an extra something for little bath bombs. Perfect as a gift for a couple you're visiting after a long-long time! ;-)

Just a Quick Hello

...to my best friend again, just to keep her entertained while resting for months. :)

It's quite simple this time with a tiny glitter on the flower...and I've just realized that I might have smashed off a tiny piece of the washi tape. LOL Oh, well... anyway, all that matters is that I keep my friend's confidence that she (and her little miracle) can do it.

Friendship

I needed a card for my best friend who'd be resting for about another 6 months waiting for her little miracle. As we don't live in the same town I think I might mail her a card in every couple of weeks - besides our regular calls and some visits of course. I wish I could do more for her.

It's hard to see in the photo but I also put some glossy accents on the darker hearts.

Supplies: HA - orange soda and pale tomato ink, Memento - tuxedo black ink, Simon Says - Sunnier Days stamp set, EP - Happy Day 6x6 pad

Challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - April Showers And/Or Spring Flowers
Pinspired Challenge 7

I really wanted to take part in CAS-ual Friday's Chevrons and Flowers challenge but I've just missed it by a day. And I used a Paper Smooches sketch for this week but didn't use any PS stamp in the end (totally forgot). Thank God it's Friday!
