A recycled business card

I was handed this card at a chocolate festival (nom-nom) and it has been sitting in my stash for 2 years. I couldn't wait any longer and wanted to use it at last! And since I missed Virgina's last challenge, I am taking part in the current one, called Stitchin #3.

I pierced the business card with the help of my Dovecraft ruler, pulled out a big needle and voilá. I've also discovered recently that Tchibo has a range of markers that can be painted, just like the distress markers. So to highlight and separate the business card from the white base, I drew a line around it and added some water. I coloured some chipboard ballons, added some glossy accent and stamped a happy birthday sentiment in cup o' joe shadow ink and that was it. I think it became a pretty versatile card that you could give both to a female or a male recipient, as well.

(Sorry for the crappy photos, I was in a hurry in the morning... as usual. :-))

Birthday Wishes

I'm still not to brave with stencils - that's why I've missed Virginia's challenge. :-( I still gave it a go with some Heidi Swapp Pink blush color shine and as it's #42 Layer Cake challenge at A Blog Named Hero this week, I can still fit this in as it has layers that I specifically made so that it still can go through the mailbox. YAY! I have to tell you I'm still in love with this bird and would willingly put it on all my cards no matter in which HA shadow ink. :-P

The Little Chickling

I saw this technique at Christine Drogt's blog (yeah, it did tickle my mojo, Christine) and I felt instantly that I had to make a card like this for our soon-to-be godson (in July to be exact). Soooo damn cute!

I kept its outside pretty simple, as Christine did, covered what needed to be covered (you'll see what I mean in my next photos) and stamped and coloured only two itty-bitty butterflies.

Then all the cuteness comes inside. As my previous attempt had too many flowers outside and they were to be seen also inside, I stamped only two butterflies this time and stamped and coloured them at the exact same places inside again.

I wanted to highlight the little chickling and I imagine my friend's 7-month old little fella will be as suprised as this little creature. :) That's why it's standing in the foreground.

Have a joyous Easter everyone!

Bunny Treats For The Kiddos

I didn't manage to make Easter cards this weekend (sad face) but did help to redesign the whole garden of our church (man, I've never been that tired the day after physical work) and these cute bunny baskets (proud face).

The baskets were some old glass-holders from my in-laws and have been waiting on my shelves for more than a year. I decorated them with some left-over ribbons (now I've ran out of ribbons completely..yay!) and a PS bunny with googly eyes (loooove 'em!) and some colouring. Now they go to my hubby's nieces and nephews with some chocolate eggs and bunnies.

The cute bunnies go to the cute kiddos - mission completed. :-D

Easter Egg Card

It really is. Quite simply. Because that's what inspired me the most. Last week's Runway Inspired Challenge photo.

And then the so called Easter thingy. Like at Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week. And then there's CAS-ual Friday's current challenge with the oval theme. Woohoo. Ladies and gentlemen, here you go!

Oh, and I nearly forgot PaperSmooches current Anything Goes challenge. :-) So there you go. I've used the egg stamp from this particular stamp set. I love this set so much, I'll use it this weekend a lot, I tell ya!

Thanks for stopping by!

Dad's Birthday Card

With the fabulous new HA bird. So intricate, love it. And some spritzed yumminess along with some sparkles.

Album Cover Sneak Peek No. 1

Here's a little sneak peek of my album cover - still in the works. Nowadays, I only manage to put things on it one by one, if I have a couple of minutes spare time. But I'm on it!

In The Works...

I started to create the cover of our wedding album. I have very little time these days but I'll post sneak peaks along the way. Stay tuned.

Oh, gosh, I've just realised both me and my hubby still puts my maiden name on the photos of my cards. :D

Glittered Thank You

Keeping this post nice and short as I'm in a hurry. This thank you card is for my hairdresser who helped us a lot before the wedding. :-) She's a very glittery woman so I hope she will like it.

It was inspired by this week's CASE Study no. 183. Since it's glittery I'm also entering it into this week's Simon Says - Glitter It challenge.
