Leafy Birthday

This card was inspired by this one from Debby Hughes and this one from Aimes mainly,  but I've seen similar ones all over blogland, just check out Pinterest. :) I did change a few things and I like it a lot. Anyway, it's for the 60th of my future mother-in-law. It's an A5-sized card, I know, a huge one! The background's made from the scraps from our future wedding album.

Summer Fruits and a Sunflower

Tried to to something summery for my mum's birthday in July. I have a bag of fruit chipboards from Scrapfellow and I found some ideas on their blog on how to use them in different ways. I love that their shiny, I think it gives them an additional dimension. :-) Also, I bought the little sunflower ages ago, I knew I wanted to put it on mum's card, so there it goes.

Long Time No Sea

It's been a while since I've posted my last card. We've translated a horror game (yes, you read it right) and I'm attending a course in Rock History at coursera, plus I've enrolled into a Spanish course that'll begin next week. Busy and exciting times. :)

In the meanwhile, it also turned into hot summer. Also it's the beginning of our ritual family birthday celebrations. :)) This goes to my not-so-little bro, I hope he won't peek it here.

Actually, he's a motorboat racer but his nickname is something like 'Raftsman'. :-) So I thought this sailboat would be appropriate. Also he's turned 22 on Tuesday. The orange candydots refer to bouys. :-)

And this is the fun part. We like making fun of each other, so I had to put in there something funny.

Bday Card for Grandpa

The basic idea was that I have to make a card for my grandpa's bday next week as I'll be abroad at the time. It also had to have a smile... that turned out to be green...and interactive!

Polly's turned 12!

I made this card for my little cousin and this ends the circle (I also made her a DIY notepad and a gift box for it, see my previous posts). This was the first time I used my new PS sets, I just love them, they're of great quality!

This is my first entry to a Simon Says Stamp Challenge and right for their 3rd Bday Challenge! Update: And also for the CAS-Friday bday challenge. Yay! To my fellow papercrafters: you can win a $50 voucher OR one of the three (!!!) Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month May. The CAS challenge is also full of Simon's gifts! :)

I really love this card because it has more different embellishments than I usually use, yet it stayed simple. By the way, "Boldog szülinapot" means "Happy Birthday". It's in Hungarian. :)

First, it was the Bo Bunny patterned paper with dots that I fell in love with. Then the butterfly from the same collection (though I used a circle punch so that it could leave its different coloured friends). I found one single, really cute button in matching colour and decided to put them on a tag . Also, I wanted to create a card with a tag at last. I've used the clear chevron paper (from Simon's April Card Kit) for a previous window card and wanted to use it for something else, also the area below the butterfly felt really empty. So there was the solution. :) I chose small and big letters to harmonize with the dots...but first had no idea how to finish the word "boldog" (happy) as the original creme-coloured G got lost on the waves. So I went through my yet little papercraft stash and found a pinkish G made of foam that'd fit there perfectly. :) And voilà!

Azóta persze szerencsésen hazaértünk. Egzotikus volt, de jó, egyszer majd teszünk fel képeket is valahová, ill. szeretnék bővebben írni az ottani szállásadónkról, Andrásról.. :)

Még mindig szerelmes vagyok a kártyakészítős videókba és felszerelésekbe, Istenke pénze sem lenne elég valószínűleg. De most próbálom racionalizálni a dolgokat, mindent wishlistre teszek, amit aztán időről-időre szanálok, hogy egyszer majd jól megrendeljem, és akkor megérje.

Mert itthon elég izé a választék, konkrétan német, ami egy teljesen más iránynak tűnik nekem ízlésvilágilag, vagy valahogy nem tetszik, nem tudom.
