Happy Easter! / Boldog húsvéti ünnepeket!

I made these Easter origami boxes for D's little nieces and nephews. Since I don't have a die cutting machine, I had to make baskets with my own hands. I saw this box first at Kristina's (see on the right among her most watched videos).

Ezeket a kis origami kosarakat D unokaöccseinek és unokahúgainak készítettem. Mivel nincs vágógépem, ez tűnt a legegyszerűbben elkészíthetőnek. Kristinánál, a fenti linken található egy angol nyelvű videó is az elkészítéséhez.

The felt embellishments were made by my godfather's wife. She makes some embellishments occasionally and then gives it to me as birthday or Xmas gift. :-)

A filc díszeket keresztapám felesége készítette. Néha készít nekem különböző díszeket a képeslapokhoz, aztán megkapom ajándékba valamilyen alkalomra. :-)

The grass is made from green washi tape...finally I could use it!

A füvet dekortapasszal készítettem...végre tudtam ezt a színt is használni megint.

I also still have some 12 x 12 textured cardstock left and these are perfect for these boxes (except that I have to be very careful because they are quite thick). I don't really use them for cards.

Még van egy rakás 12 x 12"-es alapkartonom, amit képeslapokhoz nem nagyon használok, ezeknek a mérete tökéletes az origami dobozkához (azon kívül persze, hogy nagyon kell vigyázni a hajtogatásnál, mert elég vastagok és könnyen megtörnek).

The Tricky Vellum + Silver Embossing Combo

The vellum - silver embossing combo was really hard to catch in a photo but I swear it looks really cool in real life. :) Since this week the challenge is 'Make a cute angle' at Daring Cardmakers, I'm entering this card into their challenge. By the way, this card had to be somewhat classy and masculine as it'd go to my bf's dad in April.

Happy Bunny

Though it is the most awful weather outside in the whole time of this winter/spring, Easter is still coming. So after our skiing vacation I thought it was time to create something with a bunny. And I went for some inspiration to the uber-talented Julie Ebersole, the GD this month at CASE Study.

I did some inky mistakes in the upper right corner unfortunately but I think the small carrots cover them up perfectly.

I'm entering this card into the latest CASE Study challenge.

Bday Card for Grandpa

The basic idea was that I have to make a card for my grandpa's bday next week as I'll be abroad at the time. It also had to have a smile... that turned out to be green...and interactive!

Keep Calm and Drum On

When I got my Happy Father's Day set from Lawn Fawn I wanted to try out the armchair stamp in the first place. Then I fussy cut it and it was laying around on my desk for weeks. I knew it'd become handy soon because quite a few birthdays were around the corner to which I was not supposed to give girly cards. :) So I kept it simple and masculine just as the latest challenge of Addicted to CAS requires it.

This one goes to one of my colleagues in April. He's a father of three, he's always there for his family, for us and keeps working every single night. Above all of that he plays the drums in a folk band... and he keeps drumming on his chair behind me at work, too. :))

Random Post

I made these last weekend too. The first one is decorated with an SRM sticker and some distress ink, it used to hold caviar, now I store my tiny googly eyes in it.

Ezeket is múlt hétvégén készítettem. A kis tárolót SRM matricával és egy kis distress tintával díszítettem. Kaviáros üveg volt, most a pici rezgőszemeket tárolom benne. :))

And this one I made after seeing Julie Ebersole's very similar card. I just couldn't resist.
Ezt pedig a fent nevezett blogon láttam, és annyira megtetszett, hogy muszáj volt vmi nagyon hasonlót csinálnom.

Cameling Soon

First the big news: I was a Featured Player with my hippo card of the previous Paper Smooches challenge. Wooohooo! This is the first little 'official' acknowledgement for me. :)

Well it's not that far away, is it? It's usually August when most Hungarian families go on holiday because it's near 4O C outside and because we have lots of rain in July.

This is my next calendar page. I still have to make the pages for the rest of the year. :))

It's All About Fashion

I'm so glad I can finally take part in a Runway Inspired Challenge. I love their inspiration photos so much! It's just I'm always late on taking their challenges. But now I'm in and you should check them out too! 

After last week's madness at work I needed a long-long crafty time and I managed to create 3 cards that I'm really satisfied with. Probably this is the best of them.

This card is not only fashionable because of the previously mentioned challenge's colours (though I toned down that yellow a bit), shapes (rectangles) and flowers. But also because I tried my hands on the nowadays quite popular 'chalkboard effect' technique. I really like the result. :)

I'm also entering this card into the latest Inspired By challenge as it happens to fit in there exactly, too.

New Blogheader

I'm happy to announce that I have a personalized new blogheader at last and you may notice some colour changes, too.

The idea with the birds came from a washi tape that I got from my little brother. I would share the name of the company that made the original design but I have abolsutely no idea and it's not available in the shop he bought it at anymore. Me and D changed their colours, put some birds in another place and also deleted some of them. Then D asked what if the wire would go all across the top of the page. I like it really much. :)

Also now I have a couple of scheduled card posts. This way it seems that I'm here more often. And I am but on workdays I don't always have the time to type up a post. But I'm trying to keep them coming this way more regularly. :)

Új blogheader, washi tape mintából, de egyébként a jó ég tudja, kinek a dizánjából, mert már nem kapható, én pedig ajándékba kaptam az öcsémtől. Megváltoztattuk a madarak színét, párat átpakoltunk, plusz a follow gombokat és a fülek színét is hozzáigazítottuk. D segítségével persze, mert erősen kellett hackelni a html-ben és Corelben is rajtuk.

Sőt, előre ütemezett bejegyzések is lesznek, ezek többnyire képeslaposak, azokra nagyrészt csak hétvégén van időm, a többit pedig ad hoc szoktam írni. Addig is olvassátok Dr. Kádár Annamária Mesepszichológia c. könyvét, mert hihetetlenül jó!! A kicsikkel együtt is lehet olvasni, mert bizony mesék is vannak benne. :)
